Orchard Room

Located on the first floor, the Orchard Room is light, airy and full of character, with double-aspect views across the gardens and the south-west meadow towards the old orchard. Although smaller than the Garden Room (14.4m²; 155ft²), it has a special charm — not least its private, cosy bathroom with a double-ended bath tucked under the original oak purlins and roof windows that fill the space with natural light. It’s the perfect spot for a long, relaxing soak — either alone or with good company!

The room features a king-size bed (5’), a generous chest of drawers, wall hooks for hanging clothes, and a comfortable chair with reading lamp and laptop tray — ideal for a quiet moment or a bit of work. The ensuite shower room has a roof window overlooking the garden, with views towards the north meadow, vegetable patch, and the line of tall poplars beyond.

The Orchard Room is graced with an original semi-abstract floral painting by Wendi Weller. We loved the vibrant colours in Wendi’s work that reflects our garden and matches the strong colours in the room.
